The Return (Out of Print)

the-returnThe authors tackle the most common questions about the return of Christ and respond to them in a warm-hearted manner. This is a frank, honest and satisfying analysis of thorny issues like the Millennium, the Antichrist, the Mark of the Beast, the Great Tribulation and many others. A down-to-earth, reasonable approach. You will be happy with this one – at last, a book on this subject that talks sense.

One author says: I was asked by the publisher to approach Winkie Pratney and invite him on their behalf to write this book. The result was a joint effort. To be honest there is some pretty fanciful stuff out there on the subject of the second coming, much of it far removed from the plain teaching of Scripture. I think you will find that this book is different. It stacks up pretty well with what the Bible says. You’ll also find it talks a lot of common sense. Be prepared for some new insights when you read it.

  1. Hi Barry, I’m Sean, Cate’s hubby from Sturt Street. I was impressed by your Bible scholarship in your books and seek your thoughts. I also listen to Jacob Prasch and have some of his books. I have been thinking a lot about eschatology. I am post Trib but not everything is clear. Jacob places the Rapture between the 6th and 7th seals and I am okay with that. However JP talks about “God dealing with Israel” after the R. I don’t see that. I see the 2nd coming as being pretty devasting and final for all biological creatures prior to the Millenium and do not see this. To me the Day of Christ and of The Lord is the day of the rapture and pretty final for this dispensation. To my mind God has been dealing (severely) with Israel for nearly 2 millenia! I don’t (currently) believe a slap-up wedding feast while God is still ‘dealing’ with anyone. I want to get this eschatology sorted out. Can you advise me of further reading and what are your thoughts and why?
    Blessings, Sean
PS: Also, the two witnesses? I currently lean on it being figuratively relating to The Bible. The Word of God = Moses and the Prophets as possibly inferred by their activities.
