DR BARRY CHANT, B.A. (Hons), Dip.Ed., B.D., D.Min., Ph.D., Cert IV WP

Dr Barry Chant has dabbled in many things. He likes to call himself a Christian latitudinarian - someone whose interests range over a wide spectrum of interests. Whatever he says or does, it is always biblical, usually practical and often controversial!

He is Senior Pastor of the Wesley International Congregation in Sydney, one of ten congregations at Wesley Mission.

For many years he has been a regular speaker at church services, seminars, conferences and conventions.

He has a prophetic teaching style and an ability to take profound, biblical truths and present them in a simple, memorable way. He has written over a dozen books, ranging from theology to church history to family life and children's stories. Hundreds of thousands of his books have been sold around the world in several languages.

He has degrees in arts, theology and ministry, a diploma in education and a PhD in history. He has over 40 years experience in pastoral and educational ministry. He is founder and former president of Tabor College, a multi-denominational Christian Education Centre with campuses in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Hobart.

For Barry and his wife Vanessa, their greatest achievement is their marriage of over four decades and their greatest pride lies in their three adult children, and their spouses, and their twelve grandchildren.
